A passion for my
department
|
It was a dream and it
came true when I found that I had been enlisted among the twelve
students who were going to be admitted in dept. of Genetic Engineering
and Biotechnology. It is a question of passion why I love this
department so much. Is it because this department deals with a subject
of current interest? May be. But I feel my passion in another respect.
When I entered the department with a beating heart for the very first
time, I was congratulated by our teachers and had a warm welcome.
Instantly I felt that all my fears disappeared and realized that I had
not chosen a wrong place. Although the departmental space and facilities
are limited, the recent rapid development in our dept (establishing
computer lab. with internet connection and seminar room) have exceeded
our imagination and also that encouraged us tremendously. Thus this dept
is getting enriched day by day and I felt that I am moving along the
right direction.
At times I feel, if a survey is undertaken in the campus, " The students
of which department are the happiest?" Surely the answer would be "The
department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology".
